This is a video made by our friend Helmut Erler. For those who do not know Helmut, he is not only a great human, but also an expert in disk mastering systems and alongside Tokyo Dawn Labs, is the mastering engineer behind Simulate. Whilst his usual work is on a Neumann, Helmut has taken the time to get involved and give invaluable advice for entry level, fixed pitch systems, which as you likely know, can be untameable beasts at times. We have been working together, and hopefully have lots of good plans together for the community moving forwards.
This video goes through setting up your system for linear recording and playback, helping to get the best possible cuts. We have a load of blog posts covering various issues, and Helmut has managed to sum a lot of this information up and put into one excellent video, we highly recommend you share this video to anyone who might want to see it.
