Diamond Styli #ST120

Our ST120 synthetic CVD diamond styli for cutting plastic discs, supplied with heating wires. Compatible with most modern cutterheads, see the list below. Also compatible with our 362 and 462 adapters which are available here.

If your head takes a 320 stylus, our ST120 will fit.

Cutting Info:

Groove Depth: Cut at 50 to 60 microns groove width on an unmodulated groove for calibration. Rake angle must be 8 degrees to 10 degrees.

If you have problems with your stylus, we will require:

- Image showing groove width measurements and rake angle
- Image of styli under a microscope
- Recording of noise

Note: 

These diamonds are fully tested on PETG and Souri blanks. If you use other materials and run into problems we will need to know the material you are cutting, we can only give advice on known materials.

Each stylus is mounted in house by ourselves and tested before sending. Please be careful when calibrating your lathe as we can not accept returns if you damage them.
